Wall or ground kits need a professional assessment before any wall, flat-roof or raised install.
Rules of thumb
- Patio or small yard: one of the Compact kits.
- Long strip of lawn or patio: a Duo, or the Max if you've got 5m.
- Deeper, squarer patch: the Plus 1030W.
- Want the option of a house wall: pick a wall or ground kit. A wall install needs a professional assessment first.
Which way should the panels face?
South is best, with south-east and south-west close behind. Pick the sunniest open spot you've got.
Do bigger kits put more into my home?
Never more than 799VA at any moment. Bigger kits reach that limit earlier in the day, hold it longer and make more on grey days.
Can I mix two kits?
No. It's one kit per household.
