In the box
- 2 × 630W TOPCon N-type panels (bifacial, glass-glass)
- 1 × APsystems EZ1-M 800W microinverter
- Hybrid aluminium mounting frame with ballast brackets, for a wall or the ground
- 4m AC cable
No ballast in the box. On the ground the hybrid frame is held by expansion bolts or ballast on its feet, sized for your spot and its wind. The 18kg block table is for the ground-mount kits only, so ask us and we'll get the maker's figure for this kit before you set it up.
Where it goes
Stand it on level ground, or put it on a solid house wall, flat roof or raised spot only after a professional assessment (the maker requires it).
Never on
- a balcony
- a wall shared with, or forming the boundary with, a neighbouring property
- a building with timber, ACM, MCM or HPL cladding, or having external wall remediation
- fixings made with cable ties, rope, straps or tape
In England a wall kit has projection limits, can't go on a street-facing wall in a conservation area, and isn't allowed on a listed building. In Scotland and Wales, ask your council.
More than 960W of panels. The government's product specification says to consider a professional assessment of your electrics above 960W, so have a professional check yours before you plug in.
Before you plug in
- About 5.0m × 1.2m of sunny space on the ground, or an assessed wall.
- A weatherproof outdoor socket within reach of the 4m cable. Straight in: no extension leads, reels or adaptors.
- Modern RCD protection in your fuse box. An electrician can fit the socket or check the fuse box if you need it.
- Renting, leasehold or a managed building? Get written permission from your landlord, freeholder or agent first.
- Tell your home insurer.
- Register the kit free at myplugin.solar before you switch it on.
- One kit per household. Never use it with a home battery.
- Over 960W of panels: have a professional check your electrics first.
- Wall, flat-roof or raised install: professional assessment first.
Add accessories
Ballast blocks, cable covers and energy monitors are coming soon. Nothing extra is needed to get going: the kit's app already shows what it's making.

Questions
Do my electrics need checking?
Yes, we suggest a professional check. Above 960W of panels the government's product specification says to consider one.
Why pick the biggest kit if the limit is 800W?
More panel power gets it to the 799VA limit sooner in the morning, keeps it there later, and makes more on grey days.
How do I move a 96kg box?
With two people. Each panel weighs 34kg, so clear the route from the door to your spot first.
Do I have to register it?
Yes, free at myplugin.solar before you first switch on.
